The X6 Nokia is a premium edition XpressMusic Nokia. While other music phones midrange are well, the smart phone with premium features excellent music is well received by many users. The X6 Nokia has dimensions of 111 x 51 x 13.8 mm with a weight of 122g. The Li-Ion 1320 mAh offers a standby time of 401 hours for 2G and 420 hours for 3G talk time of 8 hours and 30 minutes for 2G and 6 hours for 3G and time playing music 35 hours.

The design of Nokia X6 is made of plastic, which is disappointing for the high-end phone with high prices. Below the big screen, there are three buttons, call, menu and end. The front panel hosts the camera video call up with some sensors.

The centerpiece of the X6 is its Nokia HVGA 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels and can display 16 million colors bright. The touchscreen is extremely sensitive and it surpasses certain mediums resistive touch screens too. Just a gentle touch is all that is necessary to quickly activate the menus. However, the disadvantage of the screen, it has poor legibility in the sun.

On the back of the Nokia X6, you'll find a 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash. However, no lens cover to protect the camera. While the X6 is a Nokia phone top-end features like face detection, smile detection and others are not present. The quality of video recording in VGA resolution or the screen is good.

The music player of Nokia X6 is packed with features, but looks are not too flashy. There are five equalizer presets and you can always customize according to your preferences. A dedicated media button above the screen comes to the music player immediately and you can run the player in the background. DJ Playlist is an interesting analysis through your music library to create a playlist based on the mood you set. The music store is also an integral part of Nokia X6. The video player provides a good viewing experience for video, but there is no DivX or XviD support. The FM radio with RDS makes recreation a complete package.

The Symbian S60 5th Edition UI is about basic, except for the addition of the touchscreen. Kinetic scrolling can be used inside interface to the file browser to the Web browser. The menus focus on icons and there are scrollbars menu icon. When you put the X6 Nokia in landscape mode, you will find a full QWERTY keyboard on the screen. However, there is no automatic rotation of the welcome screen when you change the orientation of the phone. The home screen is not too widgets as they are for the N series of Nokia Mobile Phones. By pressing the menu keys, you can display the Task Manager which is useful for switching between tasks.

The X6 Nokia has a book fully featured phone and can use kinetic scrolling here too. Personal videos and ring tones can be assigned to contacts. The phone is good in terms of voice quality, but there is no smart dialing feature, even if voice dialing is present.

All types of messages such as SMS, MMS and emails are supported by the X6 Nokia and they share a common publisher. Aside from the QWERTY keyboard, you can also use the touch screen alphanumeric keyboard. The connectivity options are extensive with support for 3G network too. The web browser is useful, but it could be more friendly. The X6 with a Nokia GPS receiver with City Life Explorer License and Ovi Maps to make navigation simple and easy.
